A day dedicated to Professor Lange's work

Riemann surfaces and abelian varieties play an important role in many fields of mathematics: algebraic geometry, differential geometry, real geometry, number theory and arithmetic geometry among others. The study of automorphism groups of Riemann surfaces and abelian varieties, and the corresponding points in moduli and related spaces, is a very active field of mathematics.

The mathematical work of Professor Herbert Lange on these topics has been relevant over the years, and the colaborative work with the Chilean Complex Geometry Group has been fruitful and has led to important results.

A day of the workshop "Geometry at the frontier III" will be held in honour of Prof. Herbert Lange on the occasion of his 75th birthday. This day will be mainly focused on Professor Herbert Lange's mathematical work on Riemann surfaces and abelian varieties.
